Funky fridge

Hey all, first post after my welcome thread!

Anyhow, my camper was pretty neglected by the previous owner and because of such it needed some major cleaning. Everything is better now, but specifically my fridge is gross. I've soaked and cleaned the fridge with lemon pine sold several times.... but the musty stank remains. I've bought some bleach to go at it from that route, but I wanted to see if anyone had some tricks up their sleeves for such an issue.

Be sure to check/clean the groove of the door seal. Mold can grow there and stink. I have moved a few times, and they have used coffee grounds to absorb odors in the fridge.

Make a thick paste out of baking soda and a little water. Slop it in there, scrub everything down, and leave it for 10 minutes. Make a mix of vinegar and water (around 2:1) then spray it all over the fridge and let that sit for 10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse everything down with clean water. I've used this procedure with success on some of the toughest smells.

Moist baking soda is an awesome cleaner. I discovered that when cleaning my oven. The trick is to keep the powder moist so it is continually working. My encrusted oven took about five days but in the end, it sparkles like a new penny.

Just like household fridges, when they stink, they stink. The odor actually imbeds into the plastic liner and insulation behind it. The baking soda/water is a start. You may never get to odor completely out, but this will help. Then leave an open container in the fridge. Use essential oil.

Recipe:
pint jar
2 cps baking soda
20-30 (or more if needed) drops essential oils - vanilla, orange, lemon. Best with citrus or vanilla.
Leave jar open in fridge and periodically stir it to give it a burst of fresh scent.
If you want use some to wipe down the walls.

If it is clean but an odor remains try scrubbing the unit with a paste made of baking soda and water, they dry it and close it with it on and an open box of baking soda in it. Give it a couple of days and check again for odors.
