For $25 change it out to a digital t-stat. Better temp control (within 1*F) and easier to use controls.
Hunter, Honeywell that use AA batteries very popular mod for rv t-stat. and easy DIY project.
Walmart, ACE, etc.

Your Atwood is working as designed.
If the system does not ignite and the thermostat
remains closed, the blower will remain on until the
thermostat is reset manually
When the propane was valved out the main flame went out so the thermostat set point was not 'satisfied' (remained closed) and the fan continued to run.
Next time......turn off furnace at t-stat prior to securing propane
Thank you so much! I told the wife to shut it off but the little switch is so hard to click over, she must have not switched it to off. Thanks!

Some furnace control boards have a 3 attempt then lock out feature
Some will shutdown and make no attempts on loss of main flame
Some will shutdown gas valve, makes no attempts to relight and allow fan to continue running and running and running
What Brand/Model is your furnace? Depending on that info whether it is normal for your furnace or not!
