Well, just in case this thread ever shows up in a search I thought I should say that I solved the problem. It was the electrode, or what ever you call it, being out of adjustment. I bent it ever so slightly further away from, and bent it closer, to the middle of the burner. Before it was sparking a weak spark on the edge of the burner and the gas would not light. Now it has a nice strong spark in the middle of the burner and the gas lights up every time.
