GM famous frame beaming for 2010 and down fix
Gents,
My 09 2500HD has only 90k on it, but I have always noticed the shake around 45-55. The rear bounces some or it feels that way, and has been getting worse with time. So I checked and found the common culprit is beam shake and it affects a lot of 2001-2010 trucks. Most of you guys probably know all of this but I wanted to share in case some did not. I simply replaced both rear upper and lower body mounts with a new bolt from GM parts direct and the issue is now resolved itself. I attempted to get the hydraulic mounts but could not for my truck. Both my local dealer and GM parts took my vin number and sent me the replacements OEM. They did not have any additional part numbers for any other style mounts such as hydraulic. Which I heard was better and would work. The replacements were longer for the uppers, lowers and bolts looked the same. Anyway wanted to share to help any of those having the same issues. I was told the the 2011 and up came with hydraulic mounts with the new frame.
Parts used: All OEM GM numbers and parts.
Upper mount number 22954779 both sides
Lower mount number 15706378 both sides
Bolts X 2 numbers 11572587
You reuse ur same bottom washer and top inserts that fit into the top mounts.
