Gonna Buy A Slide Topper

I haven't measured yet but I think the driver side slide of my TT is around 40" deep and about 9' long. I'm going to get a slide topper awning for it. The pax side slide is under the RV awning already.

Anyway, any thoughts on what to look for and what to look out for before I plop down a few hundred bucks?

All awning manufacturers offer that option.
    Dometic, A&E, Carefree, etc.

    Thanks
  • I'm gonna' bet it's A&E based on the letters A and E on the roller bracket. :) :)

Suggestion..spend a few extra bucks and buy the model that has an aluminum cover protection when it is rolled up.

See example in the window awning below:

  • Make sure the slide topper is at least 1 or 2 inches wider then the slide. So many times, the factory installed ones just barely cover the width of the slide and you get drips onto the top of the slide. Also watch out for cotton thread. The cotton thread will rot long before the material wears out.
