My 98.5 Ram 2500 yanks my Jayco around effortlessly. 3.55s, full Banks kit at 273K miles. 2600 on the pin, 9000 on the axles with bags. I would've bought a DRW but couldn't find one worth having. I'd find the 5er you want and pull it with your 01 before making a decision. Your truck will sell FAST if you decide to go that way after pulling.
12V98 is right, these trucks bring big money. Certainly don't trade it unless to a private party that has a truck you want and they want your truck and you can agree on the difference.
