Gopro as backup camera
FYI in case anyone wants to use the Gopro as a backup camera.
Forgive me if this has been posted before.
As many of us know, the Gopro camera has wifi and the tablet app works pretty well for a live view.
Since I had a couple Gopros laying around for my quadcopters I decided to give it a try as a backup camera.
I mounted the quick release clip to the rear window of my travel trailer and clip the camera on before parking.
The reception is fine in the cab of my truck, but the image is reversed. It is obvious why when one considers that the camera is pointing towards the rear, while the tablet is pointing towards the front.
So, the gopro works as a backup camera as long as you have the ability to mentally convert the image - Or as long as you use the view to just make sure you aren't going to run into any surprises when backing up.
