We do both.
We winter in the Florida Keys and south Florida with our travel trailer, but while there we do kayaking camping in the Everglades National Park and the Ten Thousand Islands.
It is absolutely awesome do get into the wilderness or on a remote beach where there are no barking dogs, loud music, roaring diesel engines - Just pure quiet, miles and miles from civilation.
We have camped on tropical island beaches that are an endless shell hunters dream. Where you can fill a boat load of beautiful shells in just a few hundred feet.
It is nice to have both worlds
