Happiness in a Mammoth Camper

If you are in the market for a 3-slide camper, that is well engineered and a quality product we highly recommend Host Campers. After comparing and reviewing several other brands, we ordered our 2013 Mammoth Camper from Host in Bend, Oregon. Our decision to purchase the Mammoth Camper was primarily based on it's unique and spacious floor plan. We were particularly impressed with the amount of windows, the double entry design into the sleeping area, spacious bathroom and shower, and the over all quality craftsmanship. Oregon's no sales tax was another important sales factor in our decision. There are not enough positive comments to express the level of professionalism, support and confidence that has been provided to us form Dave Hogue and his team at Host Campers. We really appreciate the loyalty, support and service Host Campers has provided us. There is no doubt in our minds we made an excellent choice investing in a Mammoth Camper.

For one thing the staples used to attach the moldings appeared to be too short.

It speaks volumes for the RV industry that 'quality' is long enough staples......:)

Toured one 2 years ago at the Hershey, Pa RV show. Very roomy and some nice features but we saw too many quality build issues that should be addressed. Hopefully they took care of these.

Could you elaborate on the quality build issues that you noticed?

A few of the things I noticed on the quick inspection that I did....the shelving material inside the pantry was way too thin. No way will that hold canned goods without eventually failing. Might work to store something else light but I could not see using it for canned goods.
Several pieces of the interior moldings were already pulling loose. The worse area was in the bathroom under the toilet. For one thing the staples used to attach the moldings appeared to be too short.
The sliding bathroom door was falling apart. Several of the attachment points that hold it to the track were broken and the doors operation was not smooth.
Keep in mind this was a show display model so not sure how many people were in it before me and if the unit was mistreated.

I'm reading your story and putting dates together at the same time. You ordered a 2013 model (suggesting it was late 2012 or 2013) and this is your first post. We purchased in July 2014 and drove home a 2015 Mammoth in Sept of this year. Anyway...love ours and they have made improvements or re-thought and improved existing design. The customer service has been flawless so far with questions texted from the road on it's operation. We're new to truck campers after downsizing from 39' 5th wheel. Ours was used in their youtube video of the INSIDE of a Mammoth camper.
