Thanks for the reply's, I did a little checking, and have more complete info for you. Joe, that is a good point about if it's related to the drop or not.
Ever since I bought the camper about 6 years ago, it has had a problem where the indicator light on the circuit board would light yellow instead of green, then the remote doesn't work at all. If I turn the power off and on, it resets, the green light comes on, and it works. That issue still remains.
When I dropped the remote, it was about a 3' drop onto the concrete floor. I did not try to use the remote until a week or 2 later, when it malfunctioned.
Here is better detail of the malfunction: the LF and RF up buttons work, neither front down buttons work, and none of the other buttons work. Except, the lf down and the lr down will sometimes activate for a fraction of a second and then stop.
I put new battery's in the remote, I hooked up the cord for the remote, I checked all the fuses, including the one on the board, I tested the board with a voltmeter on the outputs for the individual jacks, and voltage is measured on the ones that work, when they are activated, but no voltage is measured at any that do not work. This tells me it is the board or the remote, not the jacks. Also, while holding down non-functioning buttons, I pressed and wiggled every component on the board, and took apart the remote and did the same with its board, and got no action.
Also, I tried the HJ remote from my 2018 Eagle Cap, both thru the airwaves and with the wire connected, and none of the buttons worked at all. There must be a programming or compatibility issue. If I knew the answer to that, I could use it to help isolate whether the problem is the board or the remote.
So it seems I will probably have to bite the bullet and buy all new stuff. Unless you guys have an idea?
THanks, Joel
