I mounted a similar genny on the back of my Pioneer and use it regularly for pit stops along with occasional use elsewhere. Actually, my dog gets more use of it than I do; its a cool place she can stay when us humans need a food stop when travelling. Since I live in the Mojave desert, there are some extreme temps parts of the year. I had a bracket welded up from the frame and built a pedestal above the bumper with an aluminum truck box and the genny inside. I put fans and holes in the box and ran the exhaust out so I can close the box and its actually not very loud. I hardwired into the circuit breaker panel so I just need to throw a breaker to be on either shore power or the genny. There is some vibration in the trailer when running, but not bad; there is no back window on the Pioneer so less noise and less risk of exhaust inside too. I have over 10K miles on my setup without any issues. I recently upgraded to a 3100W Champion invertor type genny so there is even less noise and vibration now.
It took a few trips to get it right and I slowly integrated the generator into the trailer, but now that its properly setup, I find the generator quite handy. Again, my dog benefits more than I do, but the DW and I sometimes have lunch with our fur child, so we benefit too since we can make use of the microwave when needed on the pit stops.

I will cut to the chase. The few minutes that you will be at a rest stop the a/c will be of little use as several have mentioned.
While traveling have all or at least two of the roof vents open and this should exhaust sufficeint hot air to make the TT livable.
Factor in the noise, short running time and hassle to connect and run,I really dont think that it is worth it. We stop often and take a break, I nap on occasion and it works great with no a/c. Note we live in S Louisiana so it is hot here, going and coming from the "cooler" areas of the country.

Mentioned this to THE WIFE and she said that we have never encountered a TT with the genset and a/c running in a rest stop, MH's yes.

It will have to be custom made.....by a Good Welder.......way too many variables......I.E.......frame size,thickness,placement of support jacks.......etc....

If anyone knows of a place where I can get a hitch that I can bolt to the frame....

I have the same Predator 4000/3200 Generator that I bought earlier this year. I have a rack on the back of my trailer but wouldn't dream of carrying the generator on it. I think the generator weighs a lot more than 110 pounds, personally. We carry ours in the back of our Suburban which isn't optimal but is our only real choice. Fortunately, the generator is pretty leak-proof so fumes aren't really a problem. I take the back seat out and make sure the generator is riding ahead, or at least over, the rear axle.

BTW-- It's a great generator for the money. I really wanted 2 Honda's, but couldn't justify spending $2000 for something that would be be used so little (in our case).

To cool the trailer take along a box fan and mount some 12 Volt DC fans in the camper. They sell 12 volt clip on or mount fans in Walmart auto section, auto parts places and truck stops.

I have never used my generator to run the ac on a quick stop but have used it when stopped for several hours/over night. I carry mine in a tool box in the back of the truck. I have used it to fire up the microwave for a quick lunch.

Since I cannot use the cargo carrier to hold the genny I will use it to hold the gas container and then put the genny back in the box and secure it in the bathroom. I am going to have a box built to carry it and I will drain or suction the gas out of the tank after it cools down before securing. When I get back from our trip I will have a 2 inch receiver welded to the frame for the next trip.

Like others, I'd be seriously concerned about that hitch - your not dealing with quality metal..like an accident awaiting a happening. You might check a metal fabrication shop and show them your set-up, they may come up with some viable options to help. If something goes wrong on the highway, you will have serious problems. Safe travels.

crossroads says i can handle about 120 lbs but of course shouldnt attach to he bumper. now to figure out how to carry this before next week.
