The situation can change from season to season, but when I was exploring the lake with my cabin cruiser few years ago, any spot was good spot for camping.
With lake 93 (?) canyons - lot of spots available.
Those close to Rainbow Bridge do get crowded with houseboat, so take the spot earlier.
This is great area and if you can afford time and gas money, you will appreciate driving into the lake. Farther you go from Page, the rocks start getting red and pulling boat to 100' vertical rock, knowing you have at least another 30' wall under the water does make impression.
Bare in mind - you have to carry ALL your waste.
