Heavy snow cover your ac unit

Cover your a/c unit if you are in the blizzards path . If the snow gets deep and it rains by chance the water can wick into the camper . The snow acts like a sponge . Better safe than sorry

I was thinking the same thing B.O. Plenty. The A/C unit should be completely sealed off from the outside world. The condenser and compressor are exposed, but the blower and evaporator are in their own sealed box. I guess it can become an issue if the A/C isn't sealed to the trailer correctly.

While up north we got 1.5ft of snow on the roof in one night followed by a heavy rain the next day the melted it all. No leaks.

My park trailer sat out all Winter on a seasonal site for 10 years. Always had 2 feet of snow on the roof at some point. Never a problem. The inside is closed off to the outside of the A/C.

Not saying it's impossible, but I can't see anyway what you are worried about can happen.

Ya, I agree. If water could do then it would also leak in a hard driving rain.

Mine has yet to leak. About 2 feet of snow is in its final melt stages at this moment. It's sat outside since 2004, often with many feet of snow on top, and occasionally in 50 - 60 mph winds. Once in a while even at the same time. Maybe it's just been lucky...

Hmmm, my popup is parked next to the house so I'll go knock the snow off the roof just to be safe. Not hard on a PUP. Last year I kept it in my garage at a different house.

1-2 feet of snow is not uncommon in other parts of the country, where I live, and the original post info is not something I have ever been concerned about or had happen.

Don't see why not, if you can get it to stay on, and not flap in the wind. I have seen a garbage bag and duct tape used short term.

To me if you are going up on the roof to cover the A/C you might just as well cover the entire top with a Sunshield tarp which also covers all of the vents.

Have the A/C covered and the slide in. We are on the outskirts of the blizzard, hope we don't get hit too hard. Stay safe everyone.
