Help - Slide Ram needs replacement

I have a '94 Golden Falcon by Glendale. The hydraulic ram for the slide was leaking badly. I thought I could just replace the seals but the ram is pitted and will likely chew up any new seals so I think replacement of the whole ram makes more sense. I've been waiting for Lippert to identify the ram after sending pictures and measurements to them but still no reply after 3 weeks. Camping season is here and I want to get going. I would like to know how to identify the ram and find a replacement.
  • I would take it to a hydraulic repair shop. That will most likely be much cheaper and possibly faster than a new one. They can make it like new for a fraction of a new one. BTW does the ram not have a boot to protect the ram?
  • No boot on the ram. I did try one shop but they don't work on anything that small. I will look for another. Lippert has a unit that may or may not fit for $168.00 which seems cheap. Just can't get them to tell me if it will fit.
