It has happened again, four years after the first tree limb fell through the roof of our Surveyor while we were camping, another one landed on it yesterday during a "popup thunderstorm". The limb fell from a Sweetgum tree that is maybe 15 years old and appeared very healthy.The limb hit in almost the same place as four years ago and damage looks about the same. The trailer was parked where we keep it stored on gated private property at no charge. In 2010 the repairs ran over $11,000. Waiting on the adjuster to come out and give an estimate, then I'll get one from repair shop. But we're done camping for this year.

Was the TT repaired to "new" condition last time or did you have any issues? If a car sustained that serious of damage twice, I would think they would total it.

Man that's a bummer. Based on what the TT is worth now (NADA)vs what it was in 2010 the ins co may very well total it.

Doug33, The first repair was done very well. The only issue was that the ceiling panel that was replaced didn't adhere to foam insulation board and there was some sag in the panel. Most people never saw but we did. Unless you got on a ladder you never knew there was ever any damage on the outside. We hope it can be repaired, it's been a every good camper and we don't really like the idea of looking for a new one. But if totaled I hope they will pay it off....

It didn't happen while parked in the same place. The first time was while at a campground. This time it was at the place we store it.
The limb landed in almost the same place on the trailer as last time. Sorry for the confusion.

John, You might want to move to Quartzsite, no trees tall enough to fall on the top of you trailer.

Seriously, sorry to hear about that and nothing can stop things like that from happening. You just have to hope you get a good settlement and a even better price on the new one.
