I used a heat gun ( hair dryer would work ) just to get the edges of the tape started and then just start peeling it off. It takes just a little bit of heat, and you can work the tape off. That will leave a bit of adhesive behind. WD-40 on a rag will get the residue off for the most part,then wash it with soapy water, rinse and carefully apply wax. Word out there is that the vinyl graphics on these funfinders is pretty fragile, so I am taking care when cleaning and waxing around any of the tape.
Just got back from three days camping in it. Very mild weather here in the midwest right now. Had a great time !
