Hi Bone!!!, and WELCOME to the forums. What a great looking rig you have! They don't make them like that anymore. I hope it serves you and your family well for a long time.
Thank you for posting that picture and for finally deciding to make a post.:)

If the inside looks as good as the outside, I'd say you hooked yourself a good one. Congratulations!

Greetings all!
This is my first post (though I've been lurking about for almost six months so I already feel rather acquainted with the community).

My wife and I have talked about taking the dive into RVs for several years (you could say we're veterans of "roughing it") but were hesitant because of the significant investment required . . . until very recently!!!

We have had the fortunate opportunity to purchase a 1977 Holiday Rambler (27.5' I think) for a price that is obscene (in a good way) to "test the waters" so to speak. We took her on her maiden (to us) voyage this weekend with the kiddos (2 and 4) with great success, and I must say the whole family is hooked (as were a fish or two)!!

I must say thank you for the pages and pages of useful information imparted through the thousands of threads contained here!

As a parting gift (for this post at least), I present to you . . . "The Rig" ๐Ÿ™‚

If you don't know how to resize, NOW is the time to learn!!!

Please folks, learn how to size your pictures before posting. WAY too much time is necessary for the moderators to keep editing posts to re-size pictures.
Take a good look at this thread for information on how to properly size and post your pictures on this forum. Thank you!

Ok I just learned how to post pics...we have done all the little mods that I can find on here. Here are just a few.. just cosmetic curtains, pillows, stuff that I could sew. We dont need anything BIG yet. So are there any suggestions on some cool cosmetic mods and where to get them?

I do monogramming at home and sewing too. So instead of having really crappy fabrics I have changed alot of the fabrics to really nice ones. I got a long ways to go though

Love how you used the diamond plate. I might have to do that with my TT.

GVWR is 6500
We figure fully loaded with our stuff is about 6,00 lbs.
Great trailer, great layout, easy to tow ๐Ÿ™‚
It does have low clearance, but we are looking into getting it lifted soon.

How much does your trailer weigh ready to go camping? I have read they are lighter and was considering one so I don't have to have a dedicated tow vehicle.
