hold over price

I stopped by my local dealer today and checked out a new 2014 trailer they had as a hold over.

The price they offered is a decent 40% of MSRP, which seems fair...for a 2015.

I dont ever take first offer at anything, but I'm wondering how much more I should push for knowing this trailer has already spent a year in the elements?

Enter the model into RV Trader to find all that are for sale across the country. Sort by price to find the cheapest and see if you are getting a good deal. FWIW, 40% off MSRP is pretty good from what I've seen.

Sometimes the dealer makes up the MSRP so I would look on line to check the price.

Do some research on other web sites like RV Trader to see what it is going for. Remember that for many TT made in Indiana, your distance from factory will affect the asking price due to shipping costs.

If it is the right trailer for you, no harm in making a lower offer or asking for some other extras. From the dealer's point of view, you are trying to make a deal in "prime time" when many others are looking to purchase for the summer. Deals can be easier to find after Labor Day.
