Holiday driving ... what unusual TC did you see?

I drove over to Montana today out I-90 from the Seattle area. I saw one puzzling TC and truck combination and quite a number of TCs in general that seemed pretty normal.

The puzzling one was the really low riding in the back newer RAM 3500. It appeared to be carrying a 8 1/2 Arctic Fox. Sure, I can see it being a little low, but it was probably at least 6 inches lower in the rear or a total drop of about 9 or more inches. It was a SRW. It was seriously almost like it had a broke spring.

I didn't hang around to learn more since it was heavy traffic driving our Explorer, and I had people behind me. They were also driving quite slow.

So, what did you see so far?
  • OK.. this is not a camper (but there is a pick-up in the image) .....and I really did not see it driving around ('cause it really can't drive) but I thought it was amusing and I would rather share it with the TC folks anyway and it IS unusual and this form of attachment should not be used for camper tie-downs:

  • I saw a TC mounted on a truck being pulled by a tow truck down I-84 over the weekend. Having the front end of the truck raised up putting a pretty good stress on the camper tie downs at that steep angle. Not sure I would allow my TC to be towed other than a flatbed.
  • Sometimes, the choice isn't yours to make. far as a roll back flatbed hauler. I high TC will put the camper taller than 13'6". A big no.

I saw nothing. The wife and I stayed home, besides, I'm running hay. Quite a few wrecks (heard on the scanner), couple fatalities.
  • Spotted this today in Seward Alaska.

We have seen quite a variety of camper systems in Alaska. Many that appear to have been shipped from overseas. Custom Unimogs, homemade 4x4 van conversions. Different crowd attracted to Alaska.
