For those that added rear view cameras, how did you route the wires. Im wanting to mount the camera at top center just to the left of the slide out. I was considering running the wires on the outside ...

In 1997, Pickup trucks didn't have 'displays'.... and I have a real transfer case shift lever too and manual lock out hubs.....
My car has 'Sync. but I don't think my car would carry a camper....
Candidly, I'm not sure I'd want all that 'electronic wizardry' more stuff to **** out as the truck ages... and more expensive to repair too.
I made sure I got the Ford extended warranty on my car, just in case....
I looked at a couple 'wired cams' but I didn't want to have to run wires and attach them to the outside of the camper. The wireless unit I have does the job quite well.
Curious what Host offers as a rear view cam option.
