The one I got was a Furrion and it works very well, remote wireless receiver in the truck, transmitter is on the cam in the back. I can have the truck completely out from under the camper and sitting in the yard and it still has a good signal.
The one I bought comes with a housing and everything plus you can overlay a back up grid with a touch of a button on the receiver in the truck. No wires on the camper (except fishing out a clearance light wire), everything stays hidden inside the camper.
I don't have a Host but I bet it would work just fine.
+1 if the camera is wireless, the only wiring needed is power and the clearance lights are a handy source of power.
