Host Tahoe SB question

Hey all! Been a weird year glad to be starting a new one. Sold the Northern Lite so DW could try recreating in a 5er. Got a new old truck to haul the trailer. Work, forest fires, etc., returning to a TC.

One we are looking at is a Host Tahoe short bed version. They don’t post COG specs. I emailed Host that question and they said 50”. Curious if anyone here owns one and can confirm it. Thanks in advance.
  • Compare the Tahoe to the short bed Rainier to get the best layout - Each design has its advantages. You will find the folding 4-step entry may be lacking height. Most pickups need five and chassis cabs need six steps. Torklift has the Revolution GlowStep that works well and Lance has even started offering it as an option.
  • Thanks Bedlam...it’s a Mega, that’s why we are looking at the Tahoe SB.
Appreciate that comment Grit dog...it’s the Cummins.
  • If you have a drw then you have virtually no concern over c of g. Don’t worry about it.
Wouldn’t even worry with a shortbed truck with a Diesel engine for ballast.
  • New “old” truck is Ram 3500 drw. I’m pretty confident in the upgrade of our truck. Just have not changed the info in our sig line.
  • Unless you plan to upgrade to 19.5" tires and only tow with light or no hitch weight, you would be better off Ram's DRW short bed for this camper. It is possible to outfit your current truck, but there will be cost and limitations.
  • At over 3300 pounds dry weight I think your going to need kore truck first.
