How about "Open Range TT"

I found another TT plan that we like in an Open Range TT. This seems to be a small company (compared to keystone) anyone with experience with them not many dealers carry them so that concerns me I guess.

This was the same for a lacrosse that we liked. I don't want to buy from a small company that may not be around in 5 years.

X2 and it really irks me that they build these things this big with so little waste tank capacity.

I see your point, but I would rather have the space inside. For us.. It is about 50/50 that we even open the awning. I would maybe think about it if we were full timers and were set up for long periods of time. But we have our "first up" portable tent if we need more coverage.

If jayco does by out OR, maybe more dealers would carry the product.

We were at a large RV show yesterday and were told Jayco had purchased Open Range, so they won't be going any where

We have an Open Range 280 RLS an love it. We had a Wildcat fiver before this an fell in love with the Open Range. We bought it used an have had no major problems. The quality of the OR is great, we fell in love with the floor plan. It pulls like a dream. This year we hope to get out more then last season now that the DW is retiring this spring.

We actually just bought a brand new 2014 Open Range TT after looking for several months. We looked at a lot of RV brands, and the main things that pointed us to Open Range were the two year warranty, Open Range's reputation for standing behind its product for warranty work (including stories of Open Range paying for repairs outside the warranty period), and they seem to be slightly better built. Time will tell but we took it out for its first trip this weekend and the only issue we had was a leaky showerhead, which is a $10 part that I'm sure the dealer will replace.

Also, on Friday I had a question about the water tanks so I called Open Range. I was actually able to talk to a HUMAN BEING who looked up my exact TT after I gave her the serial number, and she was able to answer my question.

So far I'm very happy with it, although this is our first RV of any kind so we don't have anything to compare it to.

Once your trailer is out of warranty it doesn't matter if the company is around does it? Seems like to me that all parts are universal and could be easily repaired by a reputable shop or yourself. Not saying that either will go out of business. We love our Lacrosse

You're going to spend $30k one way or another. Either with this one, or by purchasing another one, adding to it to fit your needs, or by buying something else, deciding you don't like it/it doesn't fit your needs, then buying the one you really want.

Cheapest way is to get what you want now, and not go through the upgrade process.

I really liked their fifth wheel plans and had looked at them at one of our local dealers several years ago. We went back last year when we started looking for our "new to us" fifth wheel and they no longer carried them.

The owner told me that they had a problem with the company not wanting to pay them for warranty work to be done on campers that still had warranties. They dropped them.

Below are the 2 floor plans we like between lacrosse and Open Range. Any opinions?

We have a 2012 316 RLS Open Range Roamer TT and love the floor plan. 2 minor problems fixed easily by dealer under warrantee. Excellent customer service and good fit and finish. Would recommend. They will be around. Made it through the downturn with no problem.
