Have you owned a Ford diesel lately? Chris

Never needed, wanted or desired to own a diesel. Most likely never will. They are not a good value for 99+% of truck owners

Typically, it appears that electronics tend to be a driving force behind reliability ratings. Interestingly, the general way people think about reliability seems to be changing. Of the 17 problem areas Consumer Reports asks about, the electronics generated more complaints from owners of 2013 models than for any other category.

Kind of ironic but the newer Rams did have some radio malfunctions when it was first released.
I believe I was reading that KKB thread you had a few days ago and KKB mentioned that some thought they had problems but it was the human error in not knowing how to operate the new computer systems they now incorporate into today's vehicles. Reminds me of my father, one of their televisions needed to be replaced and he was upset cause the CRT were not available any longer :R He's in his 80's and don't like change.

Ok so maybe I have not been watching a lot of news lately... But Fiat now owns Ram trucks???? Forgive me because this is probably old news... But new to me.. Working 2 jobs, family time and school keeps me really busy, so little downtime watching tv. Anyway my GMC has been great no complaints, other then the crazy throttle response when the truck is cold..

A truck, a camper, a few toys, but most importantly a wonderful family.

For me reliability is if I turn the key does it start and take me to where I need to go.

If electronic bells and whistles don't work it can perhaps be an inconvenience but my biggest concern is a car that can get me where I need to go when I need to go.

"Chevy truck; not on list?

BMW; not on list?

Acura; not on list?"

Of course these are NOT on the list because they are so much more RELIABLE and have been for seemingly ever!

Even a 2 year old child could have figured that out and without any coaching either!
