I know that is not the standard in Texas and probably isn't in any of the 50 states. If you shoot someone and don't want to spend the rest of your life as a guest of the state you better have a lot better tale to tell than "I shot them because I felt threatened".

Certainly not the standard here in Canada, we don't even have guns; but we do get to shoot our mouths off. :B
