How often do you check for boost leaks?

After having my S364 turbo and new manifold for about 5k miles, I decided to check for boost leaks to verify everything was installed correctly. I generally do this every time I change the air filter with every diesel I have owned with a tester I made many years ago.

This boost leak was on the pipe from my turbo to the intercooler has been here for a while(even with the stock turbo) and has progressively gotten worse. I waited to do something about it because he band around it isn't a clamp that can just be re-tightened and is a steal band that has to be cut off to be replaced or fixed (thanks Ram). I checked my brother's bone stock 2014 and his was leaking in the same spot just not as bad(he has 40k less miles than I do).

I will say that is very rare for me not to find a boost leak on any vehicle I have or have seen tested with over 75k miles regardless of brand.

This was only with 20 psi of air.

So how often do you guys test for boost leaks on your diesels?
