Believe me, that will eliminate 99% of posts like the OP's. CL CAN be a real resource, and connect you with a lot of quality potential buyers, if you use it properly.

X2. I've done quite a bit of business on Craigslist over the years and frequently got responses from scammers, but I noticed that they always contacted me via e-mail. So I started using the e-mail "hide" option when posting an ad and listed my mixed-format phone number as the only way to contact me. I do accept texts though, since so many people prefer that to calling these days.

Since then, zero scammers. None.

I bought my truck, truck camper and 5er on CL. All smooth transactions. I also use eBay but for large items I always use CL.
