It had the sticker on it that said 4-season. I shimmied underneath expecting to find a fully enclosed & heated underbelly. Not so. I could clearly see a tank exposed & the waste valves were also exposed. I know every manufacturer has their own definition of 4-season, but my research indicates Lance is one of a hand-full of manufacturers that is truly 4 season. What say you? Would the tank & valves freeze as I'm moving from one spot to another in Winter? Or do I misunderstand the definition of "fully enclosed heated underbelly"? There might have been some spray insulation on that tank, but it was definitely exposed. Pls advise?

You will find the Arctic Fox fully enclosed--no tanks showing. But the discharge valves will be open. That is normally not a problem. We owned one and often camped in freezing weather but never long enough to really freeze up solid.

Are all Lance trailers considered four season? Or is that an option? My guess is that it's an option.

Went to a show, saw that the Northwoods had the dump valves inside of the belly enclosure. Only the handles were exposed.

NO travel trailer is truly "4 season" regardless of what any manufacturer may claim ... they're ALL 3 season at best 'cause once the temps drop below freezing the game changes entirely. Sure, some do successfully winter camp in those temperatures but don't kid yourself, every one of them has to take special precautions to make it work. Lance nor anyone else has any magic panacea to be able to avoid this reality.

Also 4 season for me in GA is a lot different than for the guy in the post above in Ontario. We just need to put a blanket over the valves for the 2 hours it will be 2 degrees below freezing.

Cold? ... for sure ... fun? ... maybe, depends on who you're asking! :W Trust me, at these temps NO trailer is truly "4 season". :R
