I tried to respond to a topic, but got an error message. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a "max character" limit for responses? I don't believe my response was overly long.

They fixed the % several months ago, but the rv.net site has historically lot of problems and I always keep link to woodal's access as backup.
Funny how the same forum pops on about 5 different web sites with different page build.
I prefer rv.net access for wide pages, but other members go only via woodal's
And it only took 3 years to fix the % problem. :h

But look at this from other side - it was your problem not theirs.
  • The percent sign is still broken on rv.net, and is not likely to get fixed if it has not been fixed yet after 3 years.

Although, it would have been helpful to know WHAT error message you were receiving.

  • Thanks for your replies. A combination of the above suggestions helped and I was able to post.
  • Yea, when that happens, use your browser back button and get back to the Edit block and copy your text. Then open RV.net and post it from there. 99 percent of the time RV.net will work when the other portals will throw errors. And I have found, long texts will throw that error. Mostly it goes to the "I am not a robot" page, and even then, it will pass the page, but then navigate to a somewhat blank RV.net forum page. That's when I use the back button and copy-paste via a different Open Roads forum portal.
  • Some symbols will kick you into error mode - like the percent symbol, for example. You can't use it. Also, you need to reformat if you post a partial quote, as another example.
