Idea makes winterizing a little easier

My water pump is behind a screwed-in-place panel. I easily converted it to a pop-out panel by attaching magnetic cabinet latches at each corner. I also added a drawer pull to make it easier to pull off. Now I don't need tools to access the pump for winterizing or other servicing.

This cabinet seems to be attractive to rodents. I often find evidence of activity in there. The pop-out panel makes it easy to put traps or poison in there and to check them.
  • I put a magnet behind clear tape on the wall, and another near the top of the garbage can. The two click together and hold the can on the wall nicely.

The bathroom door swings open, so I added a magnet just before the door stop, and another on the door. Now it stays just off the fully open position and the magnetic attraction holds them about 1/8 inch apart.

And finally, we wanted a removable shelf a few inches above the table on the window side. It gets taken down when we seat four at the table. Two door stops for legs, and a magnet strip to hold the shelf in place.
  • On mine the access panel for water heater and pump with bypass had 4 screws and was horizontal. Simply didnt put them back in and added a drawer knob that is hidden by mattress so when winteizing ..just pull up knob and shelf comes right off.
  • Did similar to a panel to access the camper umbilical cord from the inside so I could monitor my surge protector easier.

Good idea you have there, thanks for sharing.
