- burningmanExplorer IIIt's like saying you never heard of Led Zeppelin or Willie Nelson or James Brown.
Marley is to reggae music what Lance is to the camper business! Except a whole lot more of the world knows Marley than Lance.
I'd rather have a Lance camper than a Bob Marley record but that's beside the point. - SCVJeffExplorerIf you have ever been into 60's or 70's Rock & Roll at all, you've heard Bob Marley. You may not like the style but it was pretty hard to miss. He died in the early 80's, but would probably be around 70 now.
- FarmerjonExplorerI never heard his name until this thread .but then I didn't know anything about Rastafarian music either. There are a lot of things we aren't aware of some of which it's too bad we are missing exposure to it, other stuff we really aren't missing much.
- whazooExplorerDidn't Marely have a 4 wheel drive Spliffmobile with a throw up top and bucket seats?
- Fisher_BillExplorerHad a big following in Jamaica

Like him or not, that's your call, but are you guys serious about not even knowing who Bob Marley was?
By the way, I'd figure him for a converted bus.
Really you guys? You're not serious...
I was thinking the same thing, about not knowing the great Bob Marley. - burningmanExplorer IILike him or not, that's your call, but are you guys serious about not even knowing who Bob Marley was?

why ruin a perfectly good mix?
One thing for sure, the roof would have to be retractable in order to expose the full ceiling of fantastic fans...
Nah.... you guys got it all wrong.
This would be it - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorer

I liked Marley until I listened to his music which wasn't played on US radio.
You mean his hard-core Rastafarian stuff, I presume. Most folks don't really know what that religion's basic premises are...
True... but the religion is still slightly based in Christianity. it kinda goes up a crazy road, then left. But "Jah" at least centers them towards some sort of god. Actually it is a bit on the edge, but I think Bob was still an inspiration to many of his people. And his music (the non edgy stuff) makes people feel happy. - work2fishExplorer
