Installing Led lights in a ECON DLX

I called Pacific Coach Works and they said to squeeze the cover and it will come off. I can't a good grip on the cover to squeeze it and remove it. I an a retired electrician of 42 years . I have removed many light fixture covers of the squeeze type. These are very hard plastic and will not let remove them. Ant suggestions?
  • I wonder if anyone can help me remove my light lens as it does not match the various other fixtures previously described. It has a very rigid lens cover and will not flex like the covers/lenses in my previous camper. The fixture has a pushbutton switch in the left 1/3 of it. The right 2/3s is a translucent white cover over the bulb. The cover does not slide off nor can I pinch it hard enough to release any tabs.
When I pinch the sides or press the center with a lot of force I can start to hear little cracking of the plastic. It is a very hard plastic lens.

The camper is a 2008 Jamboree GT (class C).

Thanks to all who lend a thought.

Here is a link to a photo of the fixture.

  • Thank you that was it. Pacific Coachworks said to squeeze. You have it right slide from the center then squeeze.
  • can you post a picture of them?

Mine are dual clear lens and a bear to get off sometimes. They slide slightly out from center to come off and getting a grip on the lens is a pain.
