We are purchasing a used Promaster to haul around the bikes for race season. It is the 1500 high top cargo. Progressive considers it a commercial vehicle and they are not writing new policies on commercial vehicles used for personal use at least where I am in Michigan. Have our agent checking other companies but does anyone here have any leads on insurance companies that will write a commercial policy like this. Just liability coverage.
How can they consider it a commercial vehicle if it is not being used as such? Check Allstate or Auto Owners. I thought Michigan as dropping that No Fault insurance BS?
