Jalousie windows vs. sliding windows - Pros & Cons

I have the jalousie which I do like for the above said reasons but they are not thermal/dual pane. Some sliders are which would greatly help with heating and cooling of the unit, so I would go with the sliders if the ones your looking at are dual pane type. You can get storm windows for jalousie but they are a pain for storing, putting on/off, removing window cranks when using, etc......I know because I have them and rarely use them because of the inconvience .
