Jayco purposely built that trailer narrower so it'd be easier to pull with narrower midsize trucks. They used to locate the air conditioner on the side and kept the headroom minimal so it'll fit inside a standard garage.

We looked at the 16 footer and they are attractive if you are looking for a lighter trailer that can be pulled by a midsize pickup and stored in a garage.
