This is my 2nd dually with 4.10s and I will do it again in a flash if I trade. I'm starting to look at the newer CTDs mainly cuz I need 4wd for the off road camping I've been doing. This is interesting reading. I'm against DEF after what I've been reading about the shelf life. My truck sets in the garage too much (500 miles on my 03 since last April) and it will be about 5 more years before we can go 1/2 or full time. I'd like to find a CxC and build another hauler bed. I think the 6.7 CTD CxC dually is narrower than 96", like pre 2003 dually. I measured one of the first 6.7/Aisin CxCs and it was 94" instead of 96".
What do the 2011 and 2012 4wd duallies get for towing mpg? Craig
I have the 3:42's and mostly tow in 5th similar RPM to 4:10's and get 9-9.5 Hand calc average West Coast towing at 62 with a combined load of 29K.
