Just kind of wondering, please share all of your thoughts.

So Ford has the Raptor, Ram has the Power Wagon when is Chevy going to get into the off road game so to speak?

It seams to me with the ever increasing demand for better gas mileage all of the new trucks are very low to the ground in the front. I am not one really for lifting my trucks, but where I go hunting and fishing sometimes I would tear up the front on a lot of these new trucks. What are all of your thoughts on this?

Please discuss

Matt
  • The Reaper is going to be a cool truck, probably in very limited quantities, but it compares against the SVT Raptor (or Shelby Raptor). Get the Reaper or the Raptor and never have to worry about tearing up the front of the truck.
  • I like the look of the truck. Just needs a honeycomb mesh behind the bow tie in a dark grey.
  • We own a Raptor, and my father has a Power Wagon. two totally different trucks. The Reaper is a joint venture with Lingenfelter......no thanks.
  • The Z71 package has simply become a sticker on the side of the bed. And Chevy can't even put the Z71 sticker on straight to top if off.

    Bottom Line:
I wouldn't expect an off road specialty truck from GM any time soon.
  • The ram is not the power wagon, the Raptor and Reaper competitor is the Ram Runner, which is a MOPAR up fit the dealer installs. You basically pick the truck you want and buy the MOPAR Ram Runner Kit, then the dealer install it and adds it onto the price of the truck.
Problem is, it isn't a 600HP truck. So you have to fork out more money to supercharge, chip, exhaust and injectors.
However, the plus is, you can buy a base model hemi ram, add the packages you want and still be cheaper than a Raptor or Reaper. Plus long term it is a customer ordered "mopar accessories order package"

OK you say the new Power Wagon is a dealer/Factory option package???
Well you must have read something different than I did beacause the previous posting and link was a dedicated build not an options package.

Yes I do love my Mopars however calling an option a factory build is just not right.

Power Wagon is a factory option. Ram Runner is an upfit kit that the dealer installs.
