Lance 825 bulb type

Morning all... My 2010 Lance 825 is stuck in storage. I'd like to order LED bulbs for the docking and amber side exterior lights. Does anyone know what type of base the bulb has? Once I have the bulb type, I'll report back with the best VLED lights for the job.

Also would like to replace marker and clearance lights with led this summer if anyone has a replacement light and housing they'd recommend let me know.

That's exactly right. You can purchase replacement bulbs. Make sure you purchase from a reputable site and the bulb has good reviews. There are some super cheap ones that lack quality.

The price of these bulbs has come way down over the years and they often draw 1 watt or even less!

Hmmm - am I understanding here that we can order bulbs and insert into the stock light sockets (like overhead ceiling lights) for LED ... and we do not need an entire LED fixture.

First of all, I have to apologize for using two account names. Complete oversight (I blame my web browser) that goes back about a year.

Anyway, here's what I ended up ordering for LED's. I've ordered from superbrightled's in the past. They ship quickly from IA and the quality has been great.

Amber porch lights

Stove hood light (decided to go for a blue accent light)

Docking lights - probably won't be as bright as halogens, but I'll take 1w draw all day long. I don't use the docking lights often, but if it becomes an issue I can replace the halogens or buy some bigger LED's.

Wardrobe light

Will send pics once I receive the lights and get 'em installed!

Not all LED's are equal, pay close attention to light color and lumens, both very important. The side and clearance lights are the same, bayonet single contact with both pins at the bottom of the bulb. The docking lights are harder to find they are H3 55w halogen, I found some replacement bulbs on New Egg with a cree and high output side lights, but the length is critical I forget the #, the lights draw 13w and are not nearly as bright as the halogen but 110w verses 26w is a no brainer. The Newegg part for H3 bulbs is 9S1A7PAOR63745 it's a H-3 Cree + 5630SMD chips from Thunder

Been busy at work all day, and my owners manual is in the camper but I found one online with all the bulb specs. I will post those specs and an LED ordering/conversion guide as soon as I get a chance. I think it would be helpful for others.

I've already converted all my interior lights and the difference in power draw is massive.

The base on those bulbs are type BA15S. You can also look for replacements for type 1142 bulbs.

Yes, I have a couple good sites for finding LED's. I just need to identify what type of bulb base fit in the exterior light sockets.

vleds.com costs a little more than some of the other sites, but they have a great selection of high quality LEDs.
