Lance cab struts

Iam wondering who has the lance cab over struts on a Dodge quad cab 2003-2009. I called Lance today and was told buy two people that lance doesn't have struts for a quad cab and the third person said a crew cab would work. I need to no which struts to order?

One is 20.5" long for a standard cab, I have these already way to short.
The second one is a 25.5" for a extended cab.
The third one is a 31.5" for a crew cab.

They are measuring just the black body of the strut not the overall length.

So who has what.

As I have a narrower TC than most, here are the angles of attachment for the struts;

As repeated above, they do a good job on certain road surfaces. I guess I'm used to them as I don't like the flabby way the camper handles without them. Yes, i remove them for anything non-blacktop.
Another thing is my Dodge's frame twists and contorts less than the Fords I've wheeled with. 99 and 07 SD/3/4tons) So, I can get away with less travel on the piston on the highway. In installed them per/Lance, but I think the camper end attachment is not far enough back.

Very good article and videos.

I can say one thing though, I don't go as fast over speed bumps or rough driveways as is shown in the video.

The video really shows how beneficial the struts are. When I first started to read the article, I thought it would be cool to do a video with a GoPro camera, and as I scrolled down, THERE IT WAS.

Lots of talk about Lance struts since that article came out. HOST campers don't need them and in fact would void your warranty. Only Lance makes them. Is it a way to sell additional add-ons to their customers?

Thanks for the pictures guys. Just came back from 3 days of camping, and the first run with the new truck to me and the lance. Only time it got bad was on the cut concrete hwys. Black top roads were okay. I will be ordering a set of struts. Anybody no of a good supplier of these?

I have a 2006 Dodge 4 door 4x4 diesel with a Lance 855S and my struts are 31 and a half inches long for the black body and 34 inches long eye hole to eye hole.

My Lance dealer got them. He offers a 10% discount on all aftermarket parts to folks who bought their RV from them.

Why is it that only Lance makes these things?

Is it to compensate for a weak truck frame that flexes between the cab and bed, causing the camper to bob up and down over the cab?

I'd be afraid of the stresses put on the camper frame eventually causing damage to the camper, or the the attachment point on the truck.

Educate me, i don't mean to sound sarcastic.

Thanks ck1 , that's one for the 31" strut. I have read that the 25.5" strut is what fits . Nice to no that a 31" will fit as well. Do you have any pictures , I would like to see wear it mounts in comparison to wear mine is mounted on my camper.

I understand that some people say they work great and others think they are a waste of money. I never had them on my old truck, but that was a standard cab long bed. My new truck is a quad cab long bed, seams like I get more bounce in the cab area. Or it could just be these quality Wisconsin roads getting worse that we travel on.

Any body else running Cab struts?

JMHO... I'd save my $$ for something else. I have cab struts for my F-350 dually Crew Cab. They've been stored under the back seat with easy access for over 200,000 miles all across the eastern half of the country. Do they work?... Yes, they help under certain circumstances. Off road?... No way! But I've "needed"/used them so infrequently on stretches of concrete highways that I can tell you precisely what road I was on when I last used them nearly 4 years ago. I suppose if I drove that road every day, my appreciation for the struts would be considerably elevated. But, I don't. YMMV
