Lance owners and broken outside shower.

Thought I'd post this to possibly save Lance owners some time and money.
On the Lance 981 and probably others the outside shower is mounted in the "utilities" compartment which is convenient.
However, the hose is approx 4' long and as you feed it back into the shower valve box it simply falls into the open space behind it. The problem is the heavy electrical cord is also stored in this area.
If you're not careful and just pull the cord out its easy to catch the shower hose and snap the plastic fitting on the back of the shower valve.
This fitting is part of the whole shower assembly and is about $35.
On the 981 you can reach up and disconnect the hot/cold lines and remove 4 screws and the shower pulls out.
If you need more room, remove the batteries and tray and you should be able to access everything behind the panel.
I also needed to replace the fresh water inlet as the check valve was destroyed and this was the only way to get to it. Also allowed me to clean everything well and apply new grease to the slides of the battery tray.
