Land Ranger 8TC info?

Hi all...new here and new to campers. I just picked up a TC for $200 as a project.. Got it home and upon closer inspection I see that it is going to need a lot of work. I plan on gutting the camper and rebuilding all of the frame. The frame where the left jack mounts is rotten very badly. It looks like the floor is in pretty rough shape too. I am looking for any info I can find on this camper. There is no recognizable logo on the outside. I found a sticker on the inside of the camper that says it was manufactured by Land Ranger Manufacturing Inc. in Brantford, Ontario. The model number is listed simply as 8TC. I cannot find any information on this camper but I believe it to be from the mid 70's.

Any tips on rebuilding frames? I do not have a lot of experience in this field but have worked as a labourer for a siding and window company, so I do have some construction skills.

I will post pictures when I take them. Look forward to being a part of this forum.

  • some of the old truck campers used length for the model..if is as long as long bed just might mean 8ft truck camper..like my frankin 11fk.. 11 foot kamper...to rebuild it you will just have to reverse engineer it is how i rebuilt mine from ground up expect suprises..with patience it can be done..
  • This sounds like a long lost truck camper manufacturer, from times of yore ! It'll be interesting to follow your re-build. hope experienced will help you out as they see you uncover the frame (reverse engineering, and re-build).
