Leaving the world of Hybrids!
After 10 years with 2 different popups, followed by 10 years with our Starcraft Hybrid we've finally moved up to a 5th wheel. Hybrids are light enough to pull without requiring a full size truck and 2 queen beds plus a sleeper sofa is tough to beat. We also enjoyed having a small enough trailer to allow us many great remote boon docking trips in the forests of AZ. Our hybrid held up to 1000's of miles down rough dirt logging roads, many extreme monsoon rain/wind storms and the desert summer heat.
We're older, kids are older and we've found we're at RV parks more often than dry camping as well as spending more time relaxing at the trailer than we did in our younger years. So we traded our hybrid in for a new 5th and looking forward to more years of great RV'ing!
Photos of our old trailer can be seen on dealers listing:
Starcraft 21SSO
Wish I could have gotten anywheres near their high asking price!! Also have to laugh at the photos showing they forgot to unbungie the tenting before folding up beds! Can't be too harsh on them though as they gave me a good deal on my new trailer!
Our new 5'er is the Winnebago 26FWRKS. Only used it for 2 nights when we picked it up but 1st real trip is Labor Day weekend. Can't wait!
