LED Bulbs
I am on the hunt for LED bulbs, specifically 1141 and 1383 types. I do not want to rewire the fixtures but to use the bulbs in existing fixtures. I have been looking online and am somewhat frustrated....

I purchased 24 of the cheapo Chinese LEDs direct from China. Great price, reasonable delivery time. Every single one got hotter than the halogen it replaced, and scorched its circuit board. I'm surprised there wasn't a fire. Some individual elements burned out, and some flickered in a nice strobe effect.
I replaced the whole lot with ones from SuperBright LEDs and have been much happier. You do get what you pay for.
