Left over 2014 purchase?

I am looking at a new 2014 F250 Lariat 6.2 gas motor. MSRP is $50740. Salesman said he would sell it for 440805 plus tax lic & doc fee. He sent me the invoice sticker which I noticed a fuel charge of 131.25 & advertising charge of $746.
The invoice with gas& ad charge is $47585. Minus the rebates of $3500. The invoice also had a holdback of $1493.
Is asking for the $1493 holdback asking to much? I know not to pay the gas & ad cost!
Is this a good price for a left over 2014? Also the 2014 have better interest rates!
I was looking at more like $41714 for the truck?
Any input would be great!

I think I would check the websites of every Ford truck dealer within a practical radius and see what similar trucks are in stock. There are probably other 14's around. Pick the ones close to the one you want and call the fleet manager for their best out the door price. Can't hurt to negotiate. Go to Edmunds to get dealer cost info for the various options to help you compare. Make them compete with each other and work for your business.

I had a better discount pricing on new 2015 Fords last fall than the discount they are offering on this 2014 leftover. You can do better.

We purchased a left over 2012 in '13, right off the bat was discounted 10,000. I really think you can do better than what they are offering.

Not sure what dealer you are going with, but we drove almost 2 hours from the burbs and went with Mendota Ford. They were great to deal with and probably not too far from you.

The only thing holding back would be my money.Give them an out the door price period end.Don't be coming with all these idiot reasons and more to get more money.Who cares how the dealer got the truck and where.

I would ask for a lower price and tell him advertising and fuel comes out of his profits and that I don't pay for stuff like that.
If he says no then walk.

If they bought the truck not another dealer get the hold back! Offer what you want to pay and if they take it great don't be afraid to walk.
