Isn't it hard to take a dually off road?

I have been looking myself The good ones are expensive. I got a quote for $720 for a Rigid that would fit in my front bumper. Really having to think about it for that price. I know there are much less expensive ones on Ebay, but I have also heard you really get what you pay for here.

The other part is I am pretty sure that they are sold as "off road" lights, meaning they are not street legal. I'd like to get one for my trips through Utah. There is one stretch of highway we drive at night 3-4 times per year that is open range, and the black cows like to hang out on the road.

I probably will end up with a light, just need to see a couple first hand to convince me it is worth the money.

Good price, I have a brush guard on my truck and had a couple of lamps on it that didn't survive the Needles. I think this unit will fit right in between the two vertical bars on the brushguard.

These are one of the highest rated on Amazon that don't cost $300. I'm a like unsure of what wattage my truck can provide. I have a heavy duty alternator.

BTW my truck was way too long for some of those rock crawling roads in Canyonlands. The 12 inch rock steps were the final straw. I had to get out and build a rock ramp to get back out after one of those...heh.

Most light bars aren't exactly road legal, so if there is other traffic on the road, you should shut it off. The light patterns (though fairly well focused) would still get up in on-coming traffic's eyes like no tomorrow. I run a Rigid Industries SR2 20" combo light on my truck. Great for driving on highways at night in the middle of nowhere. Costed me just north of 700 for my unit, but it puts out more light than many cheap 40" double-decker units. The two brands I really was torn between for me are Baja Designs and Rigid Industries. Looks like they put a ton of effort into their optics and their products show it. It's just that there were easier mounting options for my vehicle with Rigid than with Baja at the time.

Rigid also makes DOT-compliant driver and flood beam LED lights as well. The flood lights, you can leave on with on-coming traffic as it really just lights up the periferals. The driving lights provide for good visibility forward, but not as much as their more focused hyper-spot or spectre lenses (which is what my unit is a combo of).

Some local clown put one on his older Jeep and turned it on in the daytime. It darn near blinded me even in daylight. Maybe he should have pointed it down a little more.

I better stay put until the price go down.

I've used totron Cree bars before on my RZR. They are China built, like most cheaper bars. They work well and are durable. I use my RZR at high speed off-road. I'm sure Rigid, Baja Designs and Heritic bars are better lights, but $500 better? I don't think so. You can get a 50" bar on eBay under $100. My bud has the curved 50" on his Ranger and it's awesome.

Buy a $80 Totron. Make sure it is IP65 or better. If you don't like it, you are only out $80 vs $500+ with the name brand ones.

Btw, LED bars will light up everything. You cannot get them out of on coming traffics eyes. If you did, they would be aimed so poorly they would blind the your vehicle from reflection being so close to you.

I'm running a set of Rigid 6" bars on the front, they are tied into my high beams as I only use them on very dark deserted roads and backwoods. Only time I ever use them on the highway it on divided roads with a big treeline between traffic as to not blind anyone. In my case most of the highways are this way around here.

I believe I paid around 700$ for the pair.

I also run a pair of small ones on the back bumper, mostly for backing up on dark backroads in the fall during hunting or when I was hooking up my RV in the dark. They also work very well to convince idiots to turn their High beams down when you pass them.
