I had similar experience with Barker (Blue Tote). My 32 gallon tote has a slide valve for attaching a hose and dumping it. The Tote was a good 15 years old, still in good shape, except for the slide valve. I found Barker's phone number on their web site and gave them a call. Fully expecting to be told, "sorry, we don't make that part any more for that old of a tote."
To my surprise, the lady took all my information and said I'd be receiving a new one, shipped UPS, in a couple days and said "thank-you for calling us." I yelled... "Wait! Don't hang up yet." She said "OK". I said, "aren't you going to take my credit card number or am I going to get a bill with the part, and how much does this cost?"
She said, "Oh! No problem. Don't worry about that. This falls under WARRANTY and there's no charge to you." WOW!
Sure enough, 2 days later I had the part. 3 days later I had it installed in my tote, and it's been working just fine-and-dandy ever since!
