Long bed camper in a 6' truck bed ?

Stating that you've hauled an 8-9' camper in a 6.5' bed is not relevant to the discussion because the OP is asking about an 11' camper.

At least they don't have to deal with the issue of the rear bed opening being too narrow on the modern truck. They're still well within the 4' wide section of the camper.

It may be a bit too nit-picky to say no one makes heavy duty 6-foot shortbeds because technically they're all about six and a half feet. I seriously doubt anyone was confused about that.
I mean, we're still calling pickups "half ton", "3/4 ton" and "1-ton" and those names lost their literal meaning at least 75 years ago.

Seriously- the thing must not be all that heavy... does not seem to be too much tire squat... hope it was just a temporary and short transport, I would not like that situation!

That's not a Lance 1130 either, but it does go to show you *CAN* do just about anything you want.

Stopped for Ice cream and saw this in the parking lot. I knew I would eventually post it on this site. I am extremely surprised there is not more sag on the truck.

Ram doesn't.

Ram is the shortest, but it's still more than 6' long.

Nitpicky, maybe, but none of the big 3 HD truck brands have a 6' bed offered. They are all longer than 6'.

The above dimension are all the current model year trucks.

I'm not trying to start an argument, just pointing out the correct facts.
Saying GM, RAM and Ford make HD trucks with a 6' bed is misleading to people that happen across this thread.

The real question here isn't "can you put a long bed camper on a short bed truck", it's "can you put that long bed camper on a short bed". The Lance 1030 is an 11-footer. It would be barely halfway on the truck.
Its just too long.
