The 6.4 was a huge step above the 6.0 in terms of reliability and issues. The biggest issue with the 6.4 is poor fuel mileage stock. If it were me, and you live an area without emissions testing, I'd save the money on the warranty for a delete package. You'll get better fuel mileage than current diesels and really it's a reliable engine and tranny combo deleted. As long as you are reasonable with your tune, get a custom SCT programmer and tune.
If you keep it stock you'll get in the 14-15 mpg area unloaded. You could get a newer gas engine for the same price and similar mileage.
It's a hard decision. The 6.4 is a way better engine than people give it credit for once you delete everything. But resale isn't the best when you sell it.
