So i really enjoy the Airstreams , but they are def a little pricey and not as spacious as i would like for such a price. I was wondering what other RV brands make a contemporary interior such as the airstreams or something similar ?

Im new to this so i am not all experienced too much but i have been trying to do as much research as possible. Sorry if this question has been asked a bunch but i figured i can get some good info from most of you . Thanks !

aedubber - I hear ya. It's very frustrating. 'Caravans' from overseas are so much nicer than from Mfrs in the US. Open expansive floor plans with those great huge european awning windows. Tons of windows. Thoughtfulness of design. Care.

I see none of that from US mfrs who just seem to parrot the same old layouts and seem to nearly be deliberate on installing ugly flooring, fabrics with giant palm leaves, etc.
I'm not even looking for uber contemporary perse' - just some semblance of clean lines and Zen. I'm likely going to buy a Lance 1575 with tent (the only one in Lance's line that has those euro windows). I already want to put a new floor in and change/redo the countertops. The easy part is wrapping the booth fabric with something else, etc..

What floor plan type are you looking for?

Keystone Vantage Not contemporary inside but it is outside and has a curvy airstream vibe. I was first put off by the shallow slide outs till I learned these are wide trailers. http://www.keystonerv.com/vantage

EARTHBOUND RV's is out of business, very similar to Evergreen's Element line.

Evergreen still in business.

My problem is im so indecisive , i mean i could technically just buy a nice new TT with the perfect floorplan i want , and then my and the gf can modernize it . Im just surprised that all these companies dont have a specific model line up that would be geared towards the modern/ contemporary crowd.

I know. My main issue is they have no slide out (except brand new and it's a baby slide) and I find this makes a tremendous difference in space/feel. Then again, I'm looking for a smaller/lighter trailer.

What about the used Airstreams? Then decorate it up as you wish.

I absolutely LOVE those. My RVing dream is to setup a 66 or 67 Dodge Charger to tow an Element all over America.

The Forest River Evo line has a little more contemporary interior look with different cabinets and flooring than most.

I saw an Aviator while camping in Utah. Looked really nice, but when I looked them up on internet were too pricey for me.

These trailers seem pretty modern, and they're priced right up there with Airstreams, in the neighborhood of $50K USD.

Safari Condo Alto

Edit: Looks like they've nocked their price down significantly. When I emailed them in 2010 their ballpark was 50k usd, now their website claims prices starting in the mid 20s

Cool concept , just wish the floorplan was a bit bigger ..
