Getting ready to retire and the wife has been dropping hints about getting back into RVing. We used have a Cougar 304BHS and loved it. I'm not sure if I want to do a TT or Fiver. Looked around a little bit and OMG they are as proud for their RV's and the vehicle manufactures are. Any manufactures we should stay away from? Like Keystone products but I'm not married to them. I'm going to be getting a 2024/25 Ram 2500 Cummins. BTW my former call sign was Perrysburg Dodgeboy.

I don't think I would ever go back to a pull behind trailer after having a 5th wheel, but it depends what you need. if you need to haul boats and such in the back of your truck then a 5ht won't work for you, if you don't I would go 5th for the better towing and storage.
all brands are not the same, but they have simular quality models .. for instance when I was looking for my 5th wheel we went through about 15 brands and 90% of them were just cheep. I found you can get an idea of the quality by looking how the kitchen drawrs and such are built. we ended up going with a cougar which I found was the best quality for the price, but the pricing in the US is totaly different. I am more drawn to the cougar/montana for 5th wheels myself. if your buying a truck, go for a 1 ton.. up here 1 tons are actualy the same price if not cheeper that 3/4 tons because they are exempt the luxery tax., but a 3/4 ton may limit you in your payload and restrict your choice of 5th wheel , or limit what you can haul while towing a trailer.

Generally, look for the floorplan that works for you. All brands have issues.
